Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and what rights you have. It covers both the Uchim website and the Uchim mobile app; processing that is specific to the app is set out in section 9.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing is:

We are not legally required to appoint a Data Protection Officer and have not done so. You can raise any data-protection matter using the contact above.

2. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the data we hold about you (Art. 15),
• rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16),
• erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18),
• data portability (Art. 20),
• object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21),
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal (Art. 7 (3)).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (for us, the Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz Baden-Württemberg). To exercise any right, contact upravlenie@uchim.app.

3. Data we process on the website

• Server log files — when you visit the site, our hosting provider records technical data (IP address, browser/user-agent, date and time, the URL requested, and the referrer). This is needed to deliver and secure the service. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a stable, secure website). These logs are kept only for a short period (about 7 days) and then deleted or anonymised, unless a specific incident requires longer storage.
• Contact by email — if you write to us, we process your address and message to handle your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where it concerns a (pre-)contractual matter, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f). We delete the correspondence once it is dealt with and no retention period applies.
• Cookies and local storage — see section 4.

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on the website.

4. Cookies and local storage

The website uses only strictly-necessary, first-party storage. We do not load tracking technologies.

Legal basis: § 25 (2) TDDDG (strictly necessary, so no consent is required) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Any optional category (analytics, marketing) is not currently active and would only run after your explicit consent (§ 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you could withdraw at any time. 5. Waiting list

When you join the waiting list, we process the email address you provide and a record of your consent (the time, and the version of the notice you agreed to). We use it only to send you a small number of updates about the launch of Uchim. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent); we keep a record of that consent under Art. 7 (1) GDPR. You can withdraw at any time — by using the unsubscribe option in our emails or by writing to upravlenie@uchim.app — after which we delete your address. We protect the form against automated abuse with a privacy-friendly, self-hosted challenge that sets no tracking cookies.

6. Hosting

The website is hosted on infrastructure provided by IONOS SE (Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany) and Strato AG (Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany), both in Germany. They process the data above strictly on our behalf as processors under data-processing agreements (Art. 28 GDPR). Legal basis for using a host: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

7. International transfers

We process data within the EU/EEA. Where a transfer to a third country is unavoidable, we rely on an adequacy decision (Art. 45) or appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46).

8. Automated decision-making

We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

9. The Uchim mobile app

Data processing inside the iOS and Android app is described in our separate App Privacy Policy, which carries its own version, effective date, and integrity hash.

10. Changes

We update this notice when our processing changes. The current version and effective date are shown at the top of this page.
