These Terms govern your use of the Uchim mobile app (iOS and Android), operated by Uchim — Lukas Stoll, Rhönstraße 17, 71083 Herrenberg, Germany. Legal contact: upravlenie@uchim.app. Use of the Uchim website is governed by the separate Website Terms of Use.
By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The app is licensed, not sold. Your use is also subject to the rules of the store you obtained it from: on iOS, the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) unless a custom EULA is provided; on Android, the Google Play Terms of Service apply. Where those store terms conflict with these Terms, the applicable store terms prevail to the extent required. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial language learning.
You must be at least 16 years old (or older where required by local law); if you are under 18, you confirm you have your parent's or guardian's consent. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for activity under your account, and for providing accurate information. Tell us at upravlenie@uchim.app if you suspect unauthorised use.
Paid features are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms; prices and billing periods are shown at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Refunds follow the relevant store's rules and applicable consumer law.
You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the app, circumvent access controls, or use it unlawfully. You keep ownership of content you submit (such as notes or recordings) and grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display it solely to operate and improve the app. You must not submit unlawful, infringing, or abusive content.
The app is provided for language learning and may contain errors; verify anything you rely on. It is not legal, medical, or other professional advice.
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. We are liable only for intent and gross negligence, and for slight negligence only where an essential contractual obligation is breached, in which case liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damage. Statutory liability — in particular for injury to life, body, or health, and under the Product Liability Act — remains unaffected.
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from a contract for paid digital services without giving a reason, beginning when the contract is concluded. To withdraw, send an unequivocal statement to Uchim — Lukas Stoll, Rhönstraße 17, 71083 Herrenberg, Germany, upravlenie@uchim.app. If, at your express request, we begin providing a paid digital service during the withdrawal period, you may lose the right of withdrawal once performance has fully begun, or you may owe a proportionate amount, as provided by law.
Model withdrawal form — "To Uchim — Lukas Stoll, Rhönstraße 17, 71083 Herrenberg, Germany, upravlenie@uchim.app: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the provision of the following service: [describe]. Ordered on / received on: [date]. Name: [your name]. Address: [your address]. Date: [date]."
You can delete your account directly in the app, which removes your account data as described in our App Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms; the current version and effective date are shown above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
German law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.
